The Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Section, originally named "The Biochmistry Section" is an academic extension of the Science Society of Thailand. It was founded in 1973 by a group of scientists and lectures from several academic institutes in this field. The Section aims to promote growth and development of Biochemistry in Thailand, stimulate knowledge sharing and strengthen the Thai biochemical community. The Section gains its new name as the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology or BMB in 2001.
